Cerro Coso Community College
Description
The Phase I campus was designed to house an entire junior college in one megastructure. This solution was in direct response to the harst climate of the desert site located in Ridgecrest, CA. Hot summers, cold winters and blistering winds were the molding forces behind the original concept. The 3-story high "single structure" campus contains all campus functions (i.e. classrooms, administration, labs, lecture halls, cafeteria and 3-story Campus Center).
