Welfare to Work Facility. This 2-story state-of-the-art 63,250 S.F. facility houses multiple County and State agencies providing services related to the Federal “one stop” welfare to work program. The building is organized around a cylindrical central core with offset office wings aligned with core’s center. The facility also includes a job/career resource center, computer lab and classroom space which all provide educational support for the community. The central core houses the buildings primary entrance, waiting/reception area, vertical circulation, children’s day care room, rest rooms and a large multi-use dining/community space which includes a full commercial kitchen and food service area. The multi-use space radiates from the central core to an exterior patio and amphitheater designed to accommodate a variety of activities including public presentations, musical performances and graduation ceremonies.
